How did we reduced the amount of water going down the drain? We currently fill up buckets, when they are full we empty the buckets in to grey water bins for watering the plants at the end of the day. For a week a class averaged the amount of water that were in the grey water bins. St Mary's School has reduced the amount of water dramatically since mid last year. One class found that the water being used / wasted was not due to the weather. Also it was not due to how many people spend their recess running around. We think that some of the younger students don’t fully realize that importance of not wasting water and how important the five stars are.
