Chooks and Waste

At St Mary's, we have two chooks to feed. We feed them scraps out of our organic waste (which is used also feed the worm farm) then it becomes manure, which we put in the garden.  We can sell the vegetables we grow.. This is called a closed loop. We make sure that the chickens get fed the things that will keep them healthy and laying eggs. Yum!
