Veggie Garden
In 2008, the veggie garden was relocated to the current site, when two portable classrooms were removed. A few years later it was not a priority. In 2015, we started working on it again and it's been getting better ever since. We have sold some of our produce and have raised approximately $1000.
With that money we bought:
- A chook tractor
- 4 concrete seats
-2 bantam chickens
- Plants to improve biodiversity
- A pot for the olive tree
- A bird bath for the relaxation garden
-Plastic containers (red and green ) for the classrooms so we didn’t have to use bin liners
- A 3m x 3m chook pen with a wire roof to keep predators out.
Our meditation garden was designed by our students and made for our students this is a place that people can come and relax and listen to the sounds of nature.
In our garden we have a beautiful fountain that recycles its water and that is solar- powered
The river bed was made with rocks that we had left over from a previous project. We have currently planted some native shrubs in there. We changed this area from a patch of dirt to something amazing.
