Worm Farm

At St. Mary’s, we have our own worm farm. There is a group dedicated to the upkeep  of the worm farm. This group looks at the health of the worm farm, making sure that it doesn’t get over or under fed. However, in the early stages of the worm farm (a long time ago now)  we gave the worm farm the wrong things, but now we look after the worms and even chop up our scraps for it! We have learned from our mistakes, and we now have a dedicated team of Prep-6’s looking after it. We use the worm castings and juice as a free, effective fertilizer for our plants. Waste from these plants, in turn,  go back to the worm farm. Anyone for worm juice?
